Product line manager for software critical to delivering the public charging experience. Launched the new Charge Assist application for the in-vehicle location, activation and automated billing of charging for fleet vehicles through the SYNC screen. Managed cross-functional relationships with internal charging platform teams and external partners such as Electrify America and Shell Recharge Solutions. Created and launched patent-pending Charger Data Service to deliver the best possible charger reliability and performance data in the industry. Created patent-pending method for automating activation of public DC Fast Chargers without cost and complications from ISO-15118. Developed and built consensus around public charging experience roadmap to provide customers with the optimal public charging solution. Interim product manager for energy services including Bi-Directional Power, Smart Wallbox, Intelligent Charging, Grid Integration and Depot Charging. Worked with cross-functional teams to roadmap products and services and gain alignment with engineering teams.
Feature owner for Connected Vehicle Platform and Products on electric vehicles, initially through a contract with Accenture and converted to Ford employee after six months. Successfully delivered Cloud-Enhanced Distance (now Intelligent Range) to Empty and Plug and Charge to Mustang Mach-E. Led cross-functional workshops to define features and created detailed functional specifications for Cloud-Enhanced Distance To Empty and Charge Assist.
Built profitable toll-free phone number licensing business. Own rights to numbers such as 800-MY HONDA, 800-MY LEXUS, and 800-AUDI USA. Created partnership with CallSource to sell new licenses to their thousands of clients.
Developed patented platform to enable cost-effective two-way SMS with subscribers. Product manager for CRM platform featuring web-based text messaging that was white labeled by Dominion Dealer Solutions and used by hundreds of automotive retailers. Built strategic partnership with Twilio becoming their number one referral partner. Co-authored short code allocation method patent that delivers the reliability of a dedicated short codes over shared short codes.
Responsible for assisting Fortune 1000 clients in formulating eBusiness strategy. Managed Western Region Diagnostics practice of six people and project teams of 10-12 people. Effective communication of strategies developed during brief diagnostic engagements led to 85% of clients moving forward and investing nearly $50M in new initiatives. Clients included: Seagate Technology: Led workshops with senior management to build consensus for eBusiness initiatives, beginning with investment of over $20M in mySeagate.com portal. Economical Insurance Group: Led series of workshops with senior management led to investment of over $12M in broker extranet and customer self-service portal, reducing expense ratio 1%. Computer Associates: Brought in by CA to lead workshops with Turkish textile exporter to identify most valuable eBusiness initiatives resulting in $10M project to streamline order processing and inventory costs.
Provided business plan development, SBIR and STTR proposal writing and strategy consulting service to small businesses. Learned a wide variety of industries very quickly including x-ray imaging, email, wireless communications, microscopy, audio, photography, contact lenses and materials science - sample engagements included: 1-800-CONTACTS: Wrote original business model to secure initial funding for company and tested marketing channels to focus on growth through Valpaks. Polaroid Corporation: Researched and authored digital camera trigger document to generate senior management buy-in to pursue digital camera industry (albeit too late to save company). Dolby Laboratories: Research digital audio industry and created product introduction roadmap for new Dolby Digital compression technology.
